Dust Roasted Chicken or Poulet Poussiere

Have you ever notice how dry roasted chicken is usually? Well, it is time to forget about that and try this recipe!

This dust-roasted chicken has been kept secret for a long time because it is just the best barbecue recipe ever! Quite easy and simply delicious, it is a “creole” way to cook macerate chicken.

INGREDIENTS

8 chicken legs 30cl soy sauce 10cl water 6 shallots 1 stick ginger pepper

Cut the shallot into small cubes. Grate the ginger. Cut up the chicken leg skin. Place it in a large platter and cover with the soy sauce, the water, the shallots, the ginger and the pepper.

Macerate for at least 3 hours or a whole night.

The next day, cook the chicken legs on a barbecue for approximately 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

You can add the zest and juice of a lime to the marinade.

P.S.

If you do not have a barbecue, you can always cook it for 20 minutes in an oven (250°C). It is definitely not the same traditional recipe but it is better than nothing!
