USIN-e

USIN-e: a word play for US: United States, IN: India. put the words together and you obtain "Usine" which means factory in French. The story of two young designer who met at the ESAD school of Saint Etienne.

After having lived an unforgettable experience abroad: Rémi Bouhaniche in India and Amaury Poudray in United States, the two designers came back to France and created their own label USIN-e in october 2009.

Their aim is to use the object as a pretext to create links and build unexpected realtionships between people, art techniques, materials...

USIN-e is a label which loves to melt differences:
- steel combined with glass gives this unique aquarium

The 22nd of June they settled down in Village des créateurs, passage Thieffait in Lyon. You will find plenty of original creations to keep as an useful item or simply to look at an unique design piece of art.

"We are putting inch by inch the basis of a transposable walk in different areas and on different scales: from the object to scenography, from jewel to space, from detail to global, from furniture to garnment."

Thursday 24 June, 2010 | Sophie Nguyen

P.S.

You can meet Rémi and Amaury at Village des Créateurs, 19 rue René Leynaud, 69001 LYON.
